1. Festival(Proper Noun) Nava = 9, rātrī = nights, is a Hindu festival of worship and dance. The dates of the festival are determined according to the lunar calendar. The Navratri commences on the first day (pratipada) of the bright fortnight of the lunar month of Ashwin. During these nine nights and ten days, nine forms of Shakti/Devi i.e. female divinity are worshipped. আহিন মাহৰ শুক্লা প্ৰতিপদৰ পৰা নৱমী পৰ্যন্ত ন-দিন কৰা দুৰ্গাব্ৰত বা উত্সৱ বিশেষ৷
