1. Language-Linguistics(Abstract Noun) a regional or social variety of a language distinguished by a particular set of words, grammatical structure,accent and pronunciation. (Note that all these differences may not be present in one dialect. Dialects are traditonally supposed to be lower forms of the standard landuage and are its derogatory subdivisions. However, this is not a linguistic distinction, but a socio-political one.
