1. (Common Noun-Common) Kāyastha or Kayasth is an upper caste of Sudras. They have a dual-caste status, that is, they can be Brahmin and Kshatriya, and occupy North, East and Central India. Other kayastha groups are found in Maharashtra and South India. হিন্দুৰ শূদ্ৰজাতিৰ ভিতৰত অতি উচ্চ আৰু উত্তম জাতি৷
