1. (Proper Noun-Neuter) a town in the Dibrugarh district of Assam. It is surrounded by many tea gardens and has an Air Force station. The TATAs set up a referral hospital here. Besides this town has a Rural Health Tranining Centre under the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh.
