1. (Common Noun) It is a small passerine bird bigger than a sparrow of family Muscicapidae.It is a resident breeder in tropical southern Asia from Bangladesh, Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka east to Indonesia, south China and the Philippines.It is found in open woodland, cultivated areas and around human habitation. It often attracts human with its sweet call. This bird can also mimic other bird calls.Male birds has black head ,upperparts, throat and a white shoulder patch is seen. Females are grey above and greyish white. It has a white-fringed tail.
