1. (Verbal Noun) The state of being clear of trees. The cutting down and removal of all or most of the trees in a forested area. Deforestation can erode soils, contribute to desertification and the pollution of waterways, and decrease biodiversity through the destruction of habitat. গছ-গছনি কাটি অৰণ্য ধ্বংস কৰা কাৰ্য্য । ইয়াৰ ফলত ভূমিস্খলন, মৰুভূমিৰ পৰিসৰ বৃদ্ধি, জল প্ৰদূষণ, জৈৱ-বৈচিত্ৰতা হানি আদি হ’ব পাৰে ।
